I'm looking for a new deck idea and I keep coming back to Omni-Tribal.

My first thought was to go with Hazezon Tamar and drop the Velis Vel stuff and Mirror Entity in but I couldn't find enough support beyond that. So now I turn to Changlings and Lords. 5c is going to be the way to go. I think Horde of Notions wins the spot for Commander but I'm wondering what the best of the best is for the Lords? I'm intentionally leaving Sliver lords out.

Here are my thoughts

Kabira Evangel - love that protection
Edgewalker - it only drops two colors but could still be useful with other lords in
Zombie Master - I could go with the landwalk lords and this would give swampwalk and regenerate
Elvish Champion - forestwalk
Pheres-Band Warchief - Trample and vigilance
Riders of Gavony - more protection
Lord of the Unreal - hexproof
Knight Exemplar - indestructible
Ragemonger - another Edgewalker ability
Drogskol Captain - another hexproofer
Atarka, World Render - doublestrike
Reaper King - Vindicates

Are Conspiracy and Xenograft worth slots?

I have been thinking about this deck too, but it's hard to search lord cards on gatherer. The type of lords and creature-type matters cards would depend heavily on how you want your deck to play out and win. Do I assume correctly based on the cards you listed that you want a beatdown deck with basically all the best lords and attack your way to victory? (more or less)

Some cards I was considering:
Myr Turbine
Cryptic Gateway
Aboshan, Cephalid Emperor

I don't see conspiracy working since it takes away all of your creatures types except for one, making every lord you have in the deck useless except for whatever type you chose.

You could sidestep a bit on the Lords and run more Battle Cry creatures and the Lorwyn/Shadowmoor lieges.

That's a good idea. I love Hero of Bladehold, and you could feed the soldier to Knight-Captain of Eos.

Lol that's what I was thinking for a lil' I just don't think there's enough changelings in blue alone to make it work, even with all the clone effects.

I helped someone build a deck like this a while back. I remember you want your lords to do big things. Xenograft and conspiracy are both really good for the deck. We ran with the elemental as our commander too (it was that or scarecrow but he is a bigger target).

Card to consider:
Seshiro the Anointed
Sakashima the Impostor - I remember using a lot of legends...
Lovisa Coldeyes

For reference here is the post that started it for me.

Found my list of the deck I was thinking of building. It was all the lords that let you tap creature types for prophet with changeling type cards... Looks like I was also trying to build a digital version which was 3 colors using Sidisi, Brood tyrant.

Devout Chaplain
Keeper of the Nine Gales
Tradewind Rider
Sensation Gorger
Seton, Krosan Protector
Ancestor's Prophet
Catapult Master
Skirk Fire Marshal
Shieldmage Elder
Sigil Tracer
Captivating Vampire
Descendant's Path
Leaf-Crowned Elder
Cryptic Gateway
Call to the Kindred
Myr Turbine
Supreme Inquisitor
Gilt-Leaf Archdruid
Voice of the Woods
Gravespawn Sovereign

Untap effects included:
Reveille Squad
Quest for renewal
Faces of the past
Awakening
Seedborn Muse
Prophet of Kruphix

I think I'll stick to Lords and tribal abusers this time.

Conspiracy is right out.

These are my keepers so far

Lords
Zombie Master - regenerate is good
Lord of the Unreal - cheap hexproof
Knight Exemplar - indestructible is really good
Reaper King - removal is needed
Seshiro the Anointed - card draw and a bigger buff
Lovisa Coldeyes - good buff and haste is important
Lord of the Undead - recursion

Creature types matter
Atarka, World Render - big hits with double strike
Kabira Evangel - protection is too good to pass up
Deathmark Prelate - removal
Utvara Hellkite - I like lots of dragons. This is more of a pet card at this point
Azami, Lady of Scrolls - I hear card draw is good
Wort, Boggart Auntie - recursion

These with the changlings should give me a good start. I'm still open to better lords/lordlets

I'll toss in Ashes of the Fallen too

Any love for Treefolk or Shaman lords? Leaf-Crowned Elder, Wild Beastmaster, and Rage Forger (this one is my favorite from the Extended format) are all good ones--although not entirely lords, I suppose. Timber Protector is definitely a good lord for another source of indestructible. Descendants' Path would be really good in this deck.

Although, reading back down, some of these have already been mentioned.

I threw together a deck and gave it a couple games the other night. Jelik had it right. The lords need to do big things. I threw in things like Lord of Atlantis and Aboshan. They need to be a bit more powerful than that.

I'm going to take a third look at the lords and see if it's still viable. I think with Horde I'll want more of a "sac creature type for profit" thing.

Wort, Boggart Auntie was the MVP of the two games I played.

Strange, I've always thought of this kinda deck as a clear Reaper King-for-general deck. I mean, yeah, casting from grave is nice, but...uh...Vindicates, anyone? As for the other cards, how about Unnatural Selection? I mean, it's fun if you can make Lord of Unreal an Illusion too, right? Also, I personally would run Sliver Overlord and Hivelord. Too good to pass. Also Moggcatcher, Rebels, Mercenaries...

I just realised it might be good to run Dual Nature, so that all those lords that affect others but not themselves actually do ;)

If Dual Nature seems ok, maybe some mileage with Riku? He isn't a lord, doesn't get buffed... But I dunno.
