I really like this card and I want to build a deck around it.

What cards make tokens tap for something?

Citanul Hierophants
Cryptolith Rite
Glare of Subdual
Opposition
Resplendent Mentor

I could have sworn there were some Red cards that your creatures tap to deal 1 damage but my Gatherer-foo is failing me.

These red cards?
Furystoke Giant
Flame Fusillade (there's another one that's just for creatures that I can't recall now)
Kyren Negotiations

Any vehicle can tap your whole board in a pinch since you can over-crew. I think you can over-convoke too, but I might be wrong on that one.

Jaddi Lifestrider
Diversionary Tactics
Sandsower
Shared Discovery
Topan Ascetic
Root-Kin Ally

Stoic Angel seems like it would be good once you have the throne out.

Yass! Those are perfect!

I think that's enough to make a deck. I was going to use Hazezon Tamar but I may have to add Blue just for counter backup to protect the Throne. I'm going to work up a deck as soon as deckbox.org is done with maintenance.

You can't over convoke any more, they changed it a while back for some reason (On phone, can't check)

Some searches:

There's Convoke and Improvise of course. Seraph of the Masses would be happy to join your token army. It looks like there's four Convoke cards that also create tokens. Three of them each create three tokens, while Sprout Swarm just creates one token but has buyback (so you get it for free if you can tap five tokens).

If you're also building with counters (Doubling Season, Primal Vigor, Cathars' Crusade, Ghave, Guru of Spores) there are cards that care about removing counters from themselves to create new tokens.

There are fifteen fungus cards that remove spore counters to create saprolings, but they don't synergise with anything else very well and we can do better. There's some oddballs which care about other unusual counter types and all of them create tokens.

The rest operate with charge or +1/+1 counters. Of these, Custodi Soulbinders and Twilight Drover catch my eye as particularly relevant and can operate just fine even if nothing else on the battlefield cares about +1/+1 counters.

This thread just inspired an Idiotic Combo:

Observeth the Orb of Dreams. Pair it with the aforementioned Throne of the God-Pharaoh

Now observeth the mass token makers: Decree of Justice, Secure the Wastes, White Sun's Zenith, Deploy to the Front...(I could keep going).

Twirl your moustache suitably villainously as your opponents take massive damage.

Nobody has mentioned The Locust God yet? That commander makes throne of the God-pharaoh broken, can easily kill off a pod.

Edric is also sweet, although can be degenerate.

You attack or tap mana dorks all day, play sweet tempo spells, and if you really want, a fair grip of Extra Turns. You'll kill people.

I just took apart a Locust God deck. Throne was indeed good but was definitely win-more. That deck had a stupid amount of ways to win.

One of the guys at my LGS plays it with Army of the Damned. It's not an instant kill, but it does hurt like hell, and there's almost no setup for it.

I wonder there's an Esper build there. Sharuum or something. Lots of good artifact tutors and recursion to keep the Throne around. Zombies like to CitP tapped too.

I added it to my Rhys, the Redeemed deck and it has been very helpful to lower life totals. It is pretty funny to attack with a 0/1 plant and still get them for 1.

Saskia may actually make a decent commander for this. Dammit all. So many choices. I really like the thought of an Esper build. Hazezon has the right colors. Saskia adds black which has some awesome options and can capitalize on tokens dying.
