Comments/Notes: A creature control deck; it's quite good at keeping random creatures off the board or under my control, but it really needs a sweeper or two. Also now that I type out the decklist, I probably need some explicitly colourless mana sources for Endbringer (who may not stay in the deck for long anyway). Also it's running a grand total of one counterspell and that's probably a mistake :P

I made some changes recently, mainly cutting some recursion and a lot of the steal/borrow cards. My other decks are recursion heavy, so I looked for something different here. When I started out I figured I wanted blue card draw and permission or bounce. Well, that didn't work out that well. I guess I will include Spell Swindle eventually, just because of Revel in Riches. Besides that omission I want to do more with the unblockable infiltrators, ninja's and ETB effects, but there's little room. One thing I need to explore is if this is a good place to exploit vehicles: Smuggler's Copter gives your puny assassins something to do when they have nothing to do. In theory, at least.

All in all I feel the deck is not that strong, but it is fun and cool (at least in my book). It's weak enough that I think it'd be okay to add some ridiculously strong cards like Paradox Engine: that'll certainly give your royal something to do.

EDIT:

Helm of the Host and Blade of Selves are nice with ETB effects as well.

Cool, definately grabbed some ideas from there, thanks :) What is the category "enablers"? Seems like a random bunch of cards to me :P

The first three trigger Willbreaker and Dismiss into Dream, Coffin retriggers ETB, and Fumble, well, could’ve been under aura’s. These cards “enable” other cards, although they appear pretty random indeed.

Screams from Within seems like a really good aura for when you get one of the machine-gun untap effects going.
They also just printed Estrid's Invocation, which might be good alongside Copy Enchantment.

I would be curious as to why you included Grim Guardian but not Dreadbringer Lampads or Doomwake Giant for the constellation effects.

Not sure if Grave Betrayal would be your style, but it seems better than some of the Mind Control type enchantments you have.

Agent of the Fates might be a good assassin to pack, you can pile your Auras on him to get around hexproof and indestructible.

Oh wow totally missed the Cauldron of Souls/Willbreaker combo. That's nuts!

Screams from Within is a card I keep forgetting exists, and I definitely need to put it in here! Estrid's Invocation is also worth picking up, as it's basically a strict upgrade to Copy Enchantment except it can only copy your own stuff (which I'll be doing anyway 99% of the time)

The answer to these sorts of questions is almost always "because I didn't think of it" Grim Guardian is a wincon of sorts (albeit a very very very slow one) - this deck is pretty low on creatures so giving my stuff Intimidate and/or killing my opponents creatures off doesn't really do too much - Doomwake Giant might make the cut here as a decent body and a good ability but I'll probably pass on Dreadbringer Lampads.

That's a great suggestion, thanks! I have this in Lim-Dûl, not sure why I didn't think of it here :)

I don't have that many auras I want to put on my own guys (there are a few) - having said that making people sac creatures is always good. Will add it to the maybe list.

Where's Glistening Oil?

You get a two-fer... reasonable threat, machine gun with Ramses

Also, if criminal mischief and thievery is part of your plan, Nezumi Graverobber is quite charming

Excellent choices, both. There's a chance Glistening Oil backfires on me but it's a risk I'm willing to take.

Graverobber is something I hadn't considered but given this deck wants to win with other people's creatures, it's a great call :)

If you want to go with Glistening Oil it's worth mentioning Suq'Ata Assassin. I thought poison was thematic for a assassin deck, but opponents tend to disagree.

The downside of Glistening Oil is that it kills your own puny assassins if you enchant your own stuff with it. Cute with Ramses, but synergy with a weak commander with high CMC does not make me appreciate a card a whole lot. It's not great with the matriarch either.

I have considered Opposition. It's a good enabler, and solid with Paradox Engine.

Possible additions from Guilds of Ravnica:

Hired Poisoner (maybe)
Etrata, the Silencer

For Etrata: Strionic Resonator. Should work, unlike proliferate. Also nice with ETB effects..

For Hired Poisoner: something like Thornbite Staff? I like that there's a cheap blocker available for assassins tribal, but I'm not sure I'll find room for it.
