Suppose a few Silver bordered cards were to become legal.

Which ones would you most enthusiastically support or vehemently oppose?

I have some personal favourites in Psychic Network, Rare-B-Gone, Common Courtesy and Look at me, I'm the DCI. But I'd be a bit less keen on The Cheese Stands Alone, Goblin Mime and Now I know my ABCs.

Go nuts.

Burning Cinder Fury of Crimson Chaos Fire! That would get annoying quick.
Circle of Protection: Art would be fun and versatile,as would Meddling Kids.
Uktabi Kong is pretty decent, especially with changeling. Infernal Spawn and its Spawn would be alright, too.
Oh! Stone-Cold Basilisk would put much of my playgroup at a severe disadvantage!

The Cheese Stands Alone has been reprinted as a real magic card, so I see no problems with that (Barren Glory).

Fowl Play, Ambiguity, Burning Cinder Fury of Crimson Chaos Fire all seem okay, but anything with physical actions seems stupid to me...

the one card I don't find broken is AWOL. I find it to be a great permanent solution.

Others I wouldn't mind:

Duh!
Booster Tutor
Who/What/When/Where/Why
Blast from the Past
Granny's Payback (this is casual right...?)
Ashnod's Coupon is one that several people in my playgroup giggle over.

Stuff I'd oppose are the ones that get confusing quickly or are extremely confusing. That, and ones that need multiples to make the game more insane. Can't think of any examples yet.

I'm not too familiar w. Unglued.

I dunno, from time to time I'm tempted to Donate a Goblin Mime to some opponents. If only the drawback were a bit more severe!

Drawn Together comes to mind as a card that could promote a fun theme deck. Hmmm...

Frankie Peanuts + Sakashima the Impostor is a pretty sweet combo, although it doesn't do much that can't be done with Funny Hat + Academy Ruins.

Gifts Given seems awesome.

Some of the Gotcha cards might be playable.

Fruitcake Elemental, maybe?

Blast from the Past would be pretty good.

Yet Another AEther Vortex would be too fun not to include, even if it sucked most of the time.

We are actually allowing certain cards, and may be allowing a few others.

Allowed:

Ashnod's Coupon (best Trinket Mage target ever)
Fruitcake Elemental
Gifts Given

Soon to be allowed:

Zzzyxas's Abyss (man this card is FUN)

Gleemax :)

I bring it up at least once a week and yawg yells "Damnit NO!"

in all seriousness, Look at me im the DCI! isnt too broke, its not like we have meddleing mages or needles or other individual card hosers

i think the "gotcha" cards would be ok, if not a little overpowered (but isnt edh about playing dumb overpowered stuff anyway?)

Sir, the only thing you forget is that Gleemax does not cost 1,000,000 ... it costs ImageImage

The gotcha cards are hilarious, but they're based on something that isn't strict on the rules of magic.
I think Zzzyxas's Abyss Will see play first, because it does something that can be tracked by the rules.
Staying Power would be a TON of fun, too. You can't deny it. YOU CAN'T!!!

Also, come on! We're the multiplayer format, Topsy Turvy should see play.
It may reverse turn structure, but it reverses turn order!
We could just sharpie over the reverse turn structure part

Symbol Status and Ashnod's Coupon would be fine.

Barren Glory doesn't win the game immediately like Cheese Stands Alone does. We were looking at a Kaervek's Spite/Academy Rector/Cheese Stands Alone deck for Legacy at Worlds, and it might have been fairly good, but Barren Glory didn't cut it quite so well...

well Enter the Dungeon would be out since the "real" version is banned.

And I hate physical action cards.

Psychic Network is dumb. It is too hard to enforce, unlike Future Sight or Telepathy.

I think the "gotcha" mechanic is GREAT for us card advantage lovers.

Ass-Wuppin is so cool, if limited in use.

I'd go little girl aggro and take a half point of mana burn.

Oh crap. Mox Lotus and Gleemax can be Tinkered/welded for - never legal, eek.

I really hate playing with the Gotcha cards, didn't enjoy those at all. Except Cardpecker. That one was fine. "Oh, mind that wet patch there by your foil Hallowed Fountain" "It's not wet? Oh well, gotcha anyway..."

I'm stunned nobody has mentioned Cheatyface in this thread. He's the card they should have done as a promo.

My California playgroup give out "cheater tokens" when we (usually) inadvertently bend the rules, but I think a collection of Cheatyfaces to give out would be more entertaining and material.

what about pointy finger of doom?

I understand it is a physical action card, but it can also screw you over too, which I think balances it out.
