When Sheldon and I were playing at the WPN convention this one guy kept calling Verdant Force "party crasher" because he brings all his friends. I like it.

we have a name for my brothers elf token deck called the jedi council (this is because of the amount of 1/1 token he gets and if you think of the sound a moving lightsaber makes when you move it as you say 1/1)

as for my marrow gnawer he gets named satan do to the things i do with him are pure evil

and the vithian stinger gets "the guy with the stick"

Some cards in my playgroup have very strange most are said in german but I will translate it as good as possible:

Yavimaya Elder - B-Tight (I don't know who came up with this and why but I think its because of the position of his hands. (B-Tight is a german rapper))
Oblivion Stone - comes into play taped (very self explanatory)
Twincast - Fork
All blue female characters - the blue cunt
Sliver Legion - Sliver Lump
Staff of Domination - The Stick

I really like bacon, hadn't thought of that. Maybe this is bacon that gives you wind.

I really like Chuck, I have just built a deck that uses him, I'm so calling him chuck norris when he hits the table.

We call Spectral Force J-Large. Not sure why. I think it came from here - http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail156.html

Solemn Simulacrum = "Bob"

Why do you call Solemn Bob? I mean, I thought that calling Solemn Jens (after Jens Thoren, the man who designed Solemn after winning an invitational) was fairly widespread, and usually Bob refers to Dark Confidant (which is the invitational card designed by Bob Maher).

Yes, I know a lot of people call them that, but my EDH playgroup is a casual crowd, that could care less about who designed the invitational cards, and Solemn Simulacrum looks like a guy named Bob in our group, who tends to be a pretty solemn guy.

Solemn Simulacrum has always been Sad Robot too me.

Cabal Patriarch is Captain Hat

Chameleon Colossus is Hazel... so hot right now...Hanzel

Progenitus became Progenitalia one night over a few too many brews.

Any card with the word Kodama is officially changed to Pajama, i.e. Pajama's Reach...

If a card is worthless and or useless it is referred to as Mudhole and some times Break Open...FTW of course.

Siege Gang Commando is Kool and the Gang

Teferi is either Teffuzle or Samuel L. Mutha Fuckin Jackson, Muthafucka

End of Line

Jens and Sad Robot are both pretty common names around here and at the PT... as are most of the invitational nicknames (Bob, etc).

Sakura Tribe Elder ("STE") is usually Steve.

Forgotten Ancient is Gumby (I've heard him called babycakes because of some random R&D playtesting label, but the artwork totally trumps that... it's Gumby all the way).

Oh, and Darksteel Colossus is "Sandwiches".
Why?
Because he sells sandwiches at COLOSSAL prices!
