Good call, i snagged some foil Werewolf staples before they explode with Shadows over Innistrad. I used to have the werewolf deck but it sucked. There are more support cards for it now, plus there will be more soon to be spoiled, so i HAVE to make it work this time! haha

Bought a Diamond Valley off a friend who needed moving money.

Checking in: Bought an Arabian Nights Serendib Efreet. I don't even play 93/94, I'm just a dolt.

I just read some speculation about Coalition Relic in relation to the new set. Or some proliferate commander. Anyway, since I'm looking to pick one up for ages (but always found it sold out or too expensive for my taste) I just bought two. And while I was at it, I bought the remaining UB lands for my Ramses as well

Were you lucky enough to pick them up at the old price?

I believe the reasoning is simply that 4 color generals need lots of specific mana and the Relic is pretty good at providing it. That it works well with the proliferate one is just gravy.

While not an impulse buy (it was a trade), I picked this up recently after finally seeing one offered after at least a decade of searching. This enabled me to take this picture, which is every tournament legal English copy with this art. (I collect them).

I don't know. I think I saw them for 5 some time ago, and these were 8. So I doubt it. Not that I care much since my Ernies depreciated ;)

Do you frame a collection like this? Might look nice on a wall or shelf.

That's not too bad, they are trending up past $9 now, but yeah, they were cheaper. Ernies also jumped a lot so don't feel too bad about it.

They're in a binder for now, but have thought about it. I reckon maybe if/when I have a global set. It also must be something that is strong and can be locked. I mean, that 2nd picture is roughly a worn Lotus in value, wouldn't want someone to easily walk off with it.

Summer Magic? That's got to be worth a bundle.

It's a Summer Edition copy, also known as Edgar. That's probably what you mean, but just in case.

The cards in that 2nd picture are roughly worth a worn Lotus, no idea how you value a bundle ;).

There are special brackets you can get with security screws for picture frames. Just get a nice metal frame with some strong plastic and those security hangers.

I've been contemplating insuring my collection. Something to look into.

If I insure my collection, my wife will figure out how much it's worth and extrapolate how muchI've spent over the years!

It's tough to balance the possibility that my collection may get stolen against potentially upsetting the delicate notes of matrimonial harmony. :D

hah! I know how it goes. :D

When I looked into insuring I found that the official value estimation alone cost €250 and would need to be renewed every 1.5 year. I may consider it at some point in the future but for now I've gotten a few extra locks. (No wife to consider for me, but that €250 alone would buy a lot of cards and I'm sure the insurance company would want a significant monthly payment too).

I'll look into the frames you mentioned, thanks.

Insurance is still a lot cheaper than a wife.
