I think at this point I must admit to myself I love tokens on not only a mechanical but a sensory and psychological level. My first deck was a monogreen mess with Howl of the Night Pack as a finisher, and I made thirty-plus hand drawn wolf tokens. There was something so satisfying about casting one card and putting out a few hands worth of permanents. Now I have tokens in tons of decks and I'm looking online for ones I like. There are numerous great designs and styles by tons of people for the tokens won't actually get to play with (How do you GET 5/5 demons with flying?), and some design's I'm "unsatisfied with" for (I'm hoping for an elf warrior design that DIDN'T come off a body pillow). My S.O. does art and through them I have access to a lot of people who'd do art for reasonable commissions, now I'm thinking about doing straight up custom tokens.

Has anybody else here done custom order tokens? Anybody have a printing service they recommend? Or even just token sellers they'd recommend?

I make my own tokens (for myself and others). Such as:

I don't bother with card stock, suppliers or printers. I print my tokens on Avery Business cards myself, then trim the edges. With the double sided pages I can print DFC tokens and get twenty tokens per page. They are ~half the size of a magic card (I print them at roughly 1.8 x 2.5 inches) so I can fit two stacks in a deck box.

If they wear out, I print more.

i've done a couple 3D tokens. Godsire beasts is my favorite. It just felt better to drop heavy 8/8s

Random side note:
Demonic Rising, Ob Nixilis of the Black Oath, Priest of the Blood Rite, & Skirsdag High Priest.

Promise of Power can possibly do it, along with Reign of the Pit.

And as an honorable mention: Tomb of Urami produces a 5/5 Demon Spirit with flying.

Sounds like cardstock printing at home is the way to go. My dad's got a printer that can do cardstock, I'll see if I can borrow it.

I'll post results if they turn out well.

@Random side note: looks like Skirsdag High Priest is going in my monoblack demon deck. Tomb of Urami is tempting me too.

I make my own tokens by applying some acetone on a foil bulk card and scrubbing until the card is blank. I then proceed to draw my tokens using sharpies. If I need other tokens, I just scrub the first drawings off with acetone again and do another one.

I simply use blank cards to practice drawing. My LGS gets them with each promo foil shipping and I have made a bargain so I get them all. (still very fond of my elf token idea, even if it only works in German)
