Ixidor, Reality Sculptor

After realizing that I really and truly hated my Wizard deck, I decided to switch things up a bit. Azami is going to be split into two decks- a more Merfolk and combo oriented UW mill deck, and a blue deck. I was trying to think of fun, unique things to do with the color, and I thought to myself, why not an Ixidor deck?

EDIT: I drastically modified this deck.

General: Ixidor, Reality Sculptor

Creatures:
Weaver of Lies
Riptide Pilferer
Voidmage Apprentice
Coral Trickster
Master of the Veil
Riptide Survivor
Quicksilver Elemental
Chromeshell Crab
Echo Tracer
Shaper Parasite
Memnarch
Tidespout Tyrant
Mischevous Quanar
Wall of Deceit
Sakashima, the Imposter
Willbender
Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir
Body Double
Brine Elemental
Fathom Seer
Vesuvan Shapeshifter
Riptide Entrancer
Ixidron
Quicksilver Dragon
Serenib Sorcerer
Mulldrifter
Scornful Egotist
Cache Riders
Merfolk Thaumaulagist
Ovinomancer
Jodah's Avenger
Kira, Great Glass-Spinner
Mistblade Shinobi
Drift of Phantasms
Ninja of the Deep Hours
Aphetto Runecaster
Riftwing Cloudskate

Spells:
Fathom Trawl
Dream Chisel
Backslide
Tidings
Dismiss
Crystal Shard
Hinder
Desertion
Ovinize
Counterspell
Equilibrium
Forbid
Opportunity
Skullclamp
Propaganda
Repeal
Pongify
Thousand-Year Elixer
Call to Heel
Wayfarer's Bauble
Inundate
Proteus Staff
Polymorph
Gauntlet of Power
Future Sight

Lands:
Lonely Sandbar
Ghost Quarter
36x Island

Suggestions? Concerns? Does the deck seem like it might be able to win with any regularity? Let me know! Your comments are appreciated.

Can I play against this on Tuesday??!!

I love the idea of flipping all of your creatures with Ixidron, then playing Ixidor and beating face.

What about Raven Guild Master, Nameless One, Voidmage Prodigy, and Maelstrom Djinn?? Are they not suitable for your deck??

End of Line

You better believe it, buster.

I have yet to draw Ixidron, but I'm really excited for that play to happen.

You do love this card, don't you? I was considering it, but when it comes right down to it, there are virtually no situations in which I actually want to flip this guy. That means that he'll effectively be a Grey Ogre, and that Scornful Egotist would almost be better in this deck (for comic value).

Nameless One

I'm not sure that I have enough wizards for this guy to be relevant. I'll need to check it out, though.

Voidmage Prodigy

I forgot he had Morph, honestly. I'm not sure how useful it would be, but I might consider it.

Maelstrom Djinn

I don't have one. I think that he might have a place, though. I'll pick one up Tuesday.

This seems SO FUN. I would just load your deck up with bunches of morph creatures.

They won't EVER know WHAT you're planning! It's hilarious!

Unblinking Bleb. Do it.

I know, it's like some kind of REALLY expensive and fragile SDT, but scrying is different.

I keep looking, but is there ANY creature that has an activated ability to turn another creature face down? At first I thought Ixidor could turn things face down AND up, but he only turns them up.

I'm pretty sure that I have the guys who do that (Weaver of Lies, Backslide, Ixidron, and Master of the Veil). If anyone knows of one that I missed, though, I'd love to hear about it.

Awesome idea, I picked up a foil Ix with the same idea in mind, playing tons of morph stuff seems like so much fun.

Watch out for glass tables!
