Ok, I've always wanted to try Numot as a 1v1 General, and this is my first attempt.

I think if I played against you with actual cards I would be desperately trying to restrain myself from leaping over the table and flogging you with something heavy. The list looks solid. Just don't expect to make/keep many friends running that much LD.

I'd like to see a few more creatures. I don't know what you would cut out for them but I feel you gotta have at least 20 creatures. Venser might be a solid choice.

Wasteland is in there and Venser was added. Been playing on MWS for 6-7 matches, and I've only dropped 1 match. I have to say, this deck is surprisingly fast.

Notable hilarious plays:

1) Hoodwinking multiple Karoos.....hilarious every time.
2) With Ancestral Vision on the stack, Sunder...causing them multiple discards.
3) Turn 3 Numot after turn 2 LD on the play. Guy just scooped.

I've only had 1 guy throw a temper-tantrum. I know people hate LD, but since they banned my baby (Braids) I've just been itching to frustrate people.

As far as the creature situation is concerned, so far it hasn't been an issue, I wouldn't want to add more creatures just for the sake of having more. Always having Numot at the ready is working out just fine.

I've been playing this for awhile now, and it's time for retirement. People hate to play this even more than Combo Azami. Still, it was fun to build a blue-based LD deck that worked surprisingly well. If there is anymore 1v1 EDH tournys here, I might blow the dust off, but otherwise, Mission Accomplished.

Would you mind updating your posted list to the most recent version, or noting what changes you made? I'm always interested in the competitive side of EDH decks, especially ones with costly-yet-useful generals.

Ever have trouble just not being fast enough, allowing an opponent to build up a mana advantage? Or trouble drawing enough LD spells?

No, surprisingly, I really haven't had any issues with players jumping ahead. Unless they are heavy in artifact sources. As far as green decks jumping out with mana ramping, they all eventually get nuked to sweepers anyway.

The hardest matchup I've had is Teeg, for obvious reasons. I did add in Capsize and Boomerang, which allow me to get a turn or two ahead of the opponent, and if they're playing CITP tapped lands, it's even worse.

Fabricate has been a very useful addition, allowing me to grab Crypt, or Crucible, whichever is more relevant.

I'd also drop Repeal for Eye to Nowhere, or another bouncing effect.

The most surprising thing is that the blue spells, Hoodwink, Sunder, Parallax Tide, and Trade Routes have had the most impact on games.

People really, really, really hate Parallax Tide.
