Time for my second EDH deck. This time I was thinking of playing Azami, Lady of Scrolls.

Of course I'm going to play a lot of wizards, blue untap when played thingies and stuff.

But as always i'm on a low budget. So I'm asking help here to try and create a first build here that doesn't cost to much money.

So if anyone has any ideas. Post the here i'll have regular updates.

There are a couple of threads on Azami already. If you look through them you can find a rough list, then strip out the parts which don't fit your budget. I've found that a lot of the rare cards in the azami deck are to be found in junk-binders or online for <$5

I know you said "budget," but if you can pick up a Sower of Temptation and a Venser, they are excellent additions.

I would cut Fugitive Wizard and Vedalken Orrery; Fugitive because it's absolutely terrible and there are several strictly better options, and Orrery because almost everything that doesn't already have flash is a Wizard creature, so Teferi already does everything Orrery wants to do. Maybe cut Nameless One as well. I don't like Ixidor's Will at all. Have you tried Sage's Dousing instead? I also don't like Spellbook.

If you do decide to add Faces of the Past, there are several support cards you could run (also very budget):

Peer Pressure also works well with those cards.

Then there are the more-or-less "budget" cards that are absolutely perfect for Azami.

Definitely add Voidmage Prodigy.

If you have Mind Over Matter you might as well double your chances of drawing it by adding Ethereal Usher.

Vedalken Æthermage is an instant-speed uncounterable tutor.

Forbid will always work out in your favor.

Fallowsage, Inspired Sprite, and Merrow Levitator will draw an absurd number of cards for you.

Long-Term Plans will tutor for anything, and if you already have Azami in play, you will probably draw that card the turn you play LTP.

I took one of the expensive cards: Venser.

I really liked fallowsage and the lot for some sick draw. also included fatespinner, Prodigy and some others.

I did not like The face of the past thing. it required to much cutting.

Forbid is awesome.

Vedalken Orrerry is a teferi when you don't have Teferi

Spellbook. Very good with all things like empyrial plating. Fetcheable with trinket mage.

I ditched Fugitive and Nameless One

Noticed deck is strong in the late game. ( YOur deck getting 36 life a turn with Ivory Tower ). But it needs more removal or steal. Anyway just some finetuning. I would like to hear what should go out as well.
